SportyBet withdrawal to OPay: limits, charges and timing

By · · updated

SportyBet lets you withdraw from ₦1 to ₦9,999,999 at a time, and it takes no fee. Those figures come from SportyBet’s own help centre, read on 13 October 2026. It publishes no daily maximum. All of SportyBet’s limits, the maximum payout included, are in one place: SportyBet withdrawal limits and maximum payout.

The limits

Add your bank a day before a big withdrawal, and use an account you have used before.

What comes off

SportyBet charges no withdrawal fee. Since 1 January 2026 the sender pays the ₦50 stamp duty on transfers of ₦10,000 and above, as TheCable and Legit.ng reported.

For a withdrawal, the sender is SportyBet, and it says it covers the duty itself (SportyBet help: withdrawal charges). A charge on your withdrawal comes from your bank.

What does come off is the Lagos tax: 5% of net winnings, taken before you are paid, as Vanguard reported in February 2026. Say your net winnings are ₦2,000. Lagos takes ₦100, and ₦1,900 reaches your account.

How long it takes

SportyBet says most withdrawals reach the bank within 10 minutes and some banks take up to 24 hours (SportyBet help: pending withdrawal). Those are its words. I have not timed a withdrawal, and the guides that print payout times do not say how they measured them.

Once it is in OPay

SportyBet’s help pages do not mention OPay by name, so I do not describe how to pick it.

Once the money is in your OPay wallet, sending it to another bank costs ₦10 and moving it between OPay wallets is free. POS cash-out costs 0.6% of the amount, and a flat ₦120 above ₦20,000.

These figures come from brands.ng in June 2026. It calls them its own compilation rather than OPay’s schedule, so check the fee in your app.

Keep your National Identification Number (NIN) ready: the Lagos directive requires it for identity checks before payouts.
