Football.com review 2026: cash out, withdrawal rules and limits
The most common complaint about Football.com is cash out: players say it was locked or “unavailable” while their bet was still running. Football.com’s own rules say cash out may not be there when you need it.
So place every bet as if you will have to let it run.
Before you deposit, also know the two rules that decide a withdrawal: one is tied to how much you have staked, the other to your name.
Each section links to the pages where Football.com itself states its rules.
Before you deposit: the withdrawal rules
- Withdrawals are tied to your stakes. Football.com says “your all-time withdrawal amount must be below 2 times your all-time Total Stake or Total Winnings amount”, and money you have not staked cannot be withdrawn (Football.com: Getting Help). You cannot deposit and take the money straight back.
- Your first deposit fixes your name. The name confirmed on your first deposit becomes your account name, and bank withdrawals go only to that name (Football.com terms, Your Finances C 1.1). Use your own account for that first deposit.
- Only a personal bank account. Withdrawals to accounts in a company’s name are not allowed (C 2.4).
- A deposit you have not bet can cost you. If you withdraw before playing a deposit through, Football.com can charge you its costs and reduce the withdrawal (C 2.3).
- You must live in Nigeria and be in Nigeria. Residence is proved by a Nigerian government photo ID. If you break this rule, Football.com can close the account and keep the winnings (Football.com terms, B 5.1 to 5.3).

Withdrawals: limits and timing
- ₦100 to ₦9,999,999 per withdrawal, free of charge (Football.com: how to withdraw). Football.com publishes no daily maximum.
- Normally immediate. If a withdrawal stays “Pending” for more than 24 hours, contact customer care.
- Manual checks can take 3 business days. Some pending withdrawals show a notice that they will be checked by hand within three business days. Football.com does not say which amounts trigger it.
- To a bank or a wallet. Its list of accepted accounts includes OPay, PalmPay, Kuda and Moniepoint as well as the banks.
- Type the account number carefully. Football.com says it will not recover money sent to a wrong account you entered.
- Three things can freeze an account for review: using it only to deposit and withdraw without betting, withdrawing to many different people’s accounts, and too many withdrawals in one day.
Verification
Football.com can ask for proof of age and suspend the account until you send it. It can also run identity checks and restrict the account until they are done (Football.com terms, B 1.1 and 1.4).
If it posts you an address letter, withdrawals can stay pending until the address is confirmed (B 1.3).
The pages I read publish no list of documents and do not mention BVN or NIN. A card you deposit with must be in the name you registered with, or the account is suspended (B 1.2).
Your phone number is your account
Your username is your phone number, and it “cannot be changed once you have created your account” (Football.com FAQ). The email you verify for two-step login cannot be changed either. Keep both active.
If you think someone has your login, use Self-Deactivate at the bottom of the login screen or under Settings, Safety & Security. It logs you out everywhere, and you reactivate with a one-time code (Football.com: keep your account safe).
Deposits
Card, bank transfer, OPay, PalmPay, Kuda and CoralPay, from ₦100 to ₦9,999,999, free (Football.com: how to deposit).
A bank transfer goes to a temporary account number that expires in 30 minutes, and the amount must match the one you entered. Football.com says to contact customer care if a deposit has not arrived within an hour.
Cash out
Cash out is the most common complaint about Football.com: 26 of the low-star reviews mention it, and 16 of those say it was locked or unavailable during the match. Football.com’s rules explain why (Football.com: how to cash out):
- Football.com can remove games, competitions or sports from cash out at any time without notice.
- A price change or a suspended market can make a cash out request fail.
- It “cannot guarantee that the Cashout feature will be available”, and bets stand as placed when cash out is down for technical reasons.
- Auto Cashout may not run at the amount you set.
- A cash out can be reversed if the bet or the market was settled in error.
Partial cash out is allowed: up to 10 times on a single and 5 times on a multiple. Never count on cash out to protect a bet.
Void selections, settlement and rollbacks
- A void selection does not kill your accumulator. It counts at odds of 1.00 and the rest is paid (Football.com terms, Betting Procedures D 4.4).
- Interrupted matches: if play resumes within 48 hours of kick-off, open bets are settled on the final result. Otherwise undecided bets are void (Football.com football rules).
- Wrong settlements are corrected. Football.com calls it a rollback. If you spent or withdrew the winnings first, your balance can go below zero (Football.com FAQ).
- Later changes to a result do not count. The original settlement stands.
- Complain within 30 days of the bet being settled (D 2.5). In a dispute, Football.com’s own transaction log is final (D 2.4).
Settlement is the third biggest complaint: 17 low-star reviews say a winning bet was marked lost, a selection was removed or a bet stayed unsettled for hours.
If that happens, screenshot the ticket and the final score at once. Quote the ticket ID, not the booking code, when you complain; Football.com’s help centre asks players not to confuse the two.
Stakes and maximum payout
- Stakes: from ₦1 to ₦30,000,000 a ticket (Football.com sports FAQ).
- Maximum payout: ₦150,000,000 per bet and ₦300,000,000 per player a day (Football.com terms, Appendix Two).
- Up to 50 selections on a slip, or 15 on a system bet.
- Multibet bonus: from up to 3% on 2 selections to up to 1,000%, counting selections at odds of 1.20 or more (Football.com: bonuses and gifts). The rate also depends on the leagues and markets, and Football.com publishes no table.
Football.com bonus and gifts: what you can withdraw
- The welcome bonus is a set of missions. “Up to NGN 5000” comes from completing New Player Missions, and their rules are shown only after you log in (Football.com New Player Missions). Read them before you deposit for the bonus.
- Gifts cannot be withdrawn, but what they win can, at once. Football.com says the payout from a gift bet “can be withdrawn immediately without any wagering conditions” (Football.com: how to use gifts). A free bet pays only the profit, not the stake.
- One gift per bet, and gifts expire.
- Offers need a real deposit, and are limited to one per person, household, phone number and device (Football.com terms, Offers D 3.1 and 3.3).
- Bets that cannot lose cost you the bonus. Football.com can take the bonus back, void the bets and charge a fee up to the bonus value (D 3.2).
Booking codes
Football.com takes booking codes: paste one into “Load Code” on the home page, or use its Code Center (Football.com Code Center). To make one, build a slip and press Book Bet; you do not need to log in.
It also takes other bookmakers’ codes. When I tried it on 20 October 2026, a Betway code loaded 5 of its 7 selections, with a note that 2 failed to convert. Check every selection before you stake. More on how booking codes work.
Virtuals and casino
Instant Virtuals and vFootball results come from random number generators. So do SIM results, even though SIM uses real fixtures (Football.com: SIM). Instant Virtuals cannot share a slip with real sports.
15 low-star reviews complain about virtuals or casino games, mostly players who say they cannot win. You can self-exclude from virtuals or casino alone (see below).
Watch out for fake Football.com accounts
Football.com says it never asks for your one-time code, and that you should never give your PIN to anyone, even someone who says they are from Football.com (Football.com: keep your account safe).
It also warns against posting your phone number in Facebook or WhatsApp groups and clicking login links shared there.
Drawbacks: what players complain about
Of the 3,583 Google Play reviews of the Football.com app posted from 20 April to 19 October 2026, 308 gave one or two stars. The table counts those. One review can mention several things.
| Complaint | Reviews that mention it |
|---|---|
| Cash out | 26 |
| App problems: updates, login, glitches | 21 |
| Settlement: bets marked lost, removed or unsettled | 17 |
| Virtuals and casino games | 15 |
| Withdrawals | 13 |
| Deposits | 8 |
Some withdrawal complaints match the rules above: players who tried to withdraw a deposit they had not bet with.
What players like
Of the 3,099 four- and five-star reviews on Google Play, 183 call the app easy to use, 58 praise the “freeze” feature, 31 praise fast payouts and 19 praise the odds. Football.com replied to 394 of the 3,583 reviews.
Contacting Football.com
Football.com lists these channels:
- Live chat, 24/7, from the Help section of the site and app (Football.com support)
- Email: nigeria.support@football.com
- Telegram, Facebook, Instagram and X, linked from the site’s footer
Its Nigerian site gives no phone number.
Every official channel, and how to spot a fake agent: Football.com customer care.
Licence
Football.com is on the Lagos State Lotteries and Gaming Authority’s register of licensed online betting operators, under the company Football Internet Limited (LSLGA register). Its own footer cites a licence from the National Lottery Regulatory Commission, No. 1972929, and gives no Lagos licence number.
If betting stops being fun
Football.com offers self-exclusion from 24 hours to 90 days. You can block sports, casino games, virtuals or everything (Football.com self-exclusion).
It is a real lock: it cannot be cancelled early, only extended. You can still withdraw money you have already staked. Opening another account during the exclusion leads to a permanent block and the loss of the funds.
The pages I read describe no deposit or loss limits.

My methodology
This review is not based on my own account. It rests on two things:
- What players wrote. All 3,583 Google Play reviews of the Football.com app posted from 20 April to 19 October 2026. The app also serves Ghana, and a few reviews mention cedis. The counts above are reviews that mention each topic, not a verdict on whether each complaint was fair.
- What Football.com says. Its Nigerian terms and conditions, FAQ, help pages and promotion pages, read on 20 October 2026. Each section links to the pages its rules come from.
