SportyBet withdrawal problems: pending, failed or blocked

By · · updated

Most stuck SportyBet withdrawals come down to a handful of rules: how long a payout may take, whose name the account is in, and how much of the balance can be withdrawn at all. Below, each problem with what SportyBet's own pages say about it and what to do, with the page linked so you can check it yourself.

My SportyBet withdrawal is pending. How long does it take?

SportyBet says most withdrawals reach the bank within 10 minutes and some banks take up to 24 hours.

What to do: Wait 24 hours. If it is still pending after that, contact SportyBet customer care.

SportyBet says my withdrawal was successful, but the money has not arrived

A successful withdrawal has a Session ID, the bank's proof of the transfer. The bank can trace the money with it. For GTBank, SportyBet says to allow up to 72 hours.

What to do: Open the withdrawal in your transaction history, copy the Session ID and give it to your bank. Give it to no one else: anyone else asking for it is not helping you.

My SportyBet withdrawal failed

A withdrawal can fail on a request timeout or at the payment gateway. The amount then goes back to your SportyBet wallet at once.

What to do: Refresh the page and check your balance; the money should be there. Then try again.

My SportyBet withdrawal is blocked because the names do not match

The name on your bank account must match the name on your SportyBet account. You can update the name with your NIN, but only until your first successful withdrawal; after that SportyBet says it cannot be changed.

What to do: Try the withdrawal again and tap “update name” under the error. Have your NIN ready; the check can take up to 24 hours.

SportyBet minimum and maximum withdrawal: how much can I withdraw?

From ₦1 to ₦9,999,999 per withdrawal. SportyBet charges no fee and pays the ₦50 stamp duty on withdrawals of ₦10,000 and above itself; a charge that does appear comes from your bank.

What to do: Split anything above ₦9,999,999 into several withdrawals. A bank account added in the last 24 hours takes no more than ₦50,000.

Why can I only withdraw part of my SportyBet balance?

You can withdraw up to twice your winnings or twice your settled stakes, whichever is higher. A deposit that was never staked cannot all be withdrawn.

What to do: Check your Withdrawable Balance on the withdrawal page. To withdraw more, the deposit has to be staked first.

SportyBet only lets me withdraw ₦50,000

A bank account added for the first time, or deleted and added again, is limited to ₦50,000 for 24 hours.

What to do: Wait 24 hours, or withdraw to an account you have used before. Do not delete and re-add an account just before a big withdrawal.

Can I cancel or change a SportyBet withdrawal?

No. Once a withdrawal is under way it cannot be changed, cancelled or refunded by hand. If it fails, the money comes back on its own.

What to do: Check the account and the amount before you confirm.

My bank is not on SportyBet's withdrawal list

SportyBet pays only to the banks in its list.

What to do: Choose another bank in the list where you hold an account in your own name.
